When you're hiking in late fall sunshine and everything already feels like its under a plaque of ice, like it's progressed from slurry to solid to ice so white it looks like cataracts.
A day like that, except it starts to rain.

Love the top picture, especially. Those bleak, grey, scrubby woods and similarly scrubby grasses are two things I really like about Manitoba.
