Not sure why you're disappointed with them, Ariel, but at the very least they're an incentive for me to enjoy the warmth of our summer while it's here. I'm not sure how I'd feel about living in a country without distinct seasons (not that NZ's seasons are as marked as yours—snow around the house is something of an event).
"Lurking"... something fascinating about that word. It seems to strike the right balance between being boringly harmless and being up to no good. As for ruminations, maybe it's because the paddock in front of the house is full of freshly-shorn ruminants.
Hmmm... what a crazy way to end the year. Oh yeah, thanks for the link, Ariel! (oops, an exclamation mark.)

They're gorgeous, A!
I'm a little disappointed in them, myself, but I haven't shot any-goddamn-thing lately and it was nice to have my finger on the shutter-button-thing.

Happy New Year!
Thanks, Pete, for your kind words, especially as I've been lurking your site and enjoying the photos / ruminations...

I prefer the being-up-to-no-good end of that particular spectrum, myself...
