That's right, I'm going pro...actually, I'll be running the official blog of the 2007 Thin Air: Winnipeg International Writers Festival.
During the week of September 23-30, myself as well as three or four other bloggers will be treading the oh-so-pleasant waters of the WIWF.
We'll all be contributing journaling on our WIWF experiences, meditations on aspects of writing and publishing, social columns, and previews of upcoming WIWF events...but I'll also be contributing audio/photography soundslides of (short) readings, author interviews, and something modeled on The Guardian Review's Writers' Rooms that I'm calling Reading Copy.
A preview of this content will be posted September 16th (i.e. the week before the festival)...look for interviews with 3 Day Novel Winner/Fugitive Brendan McLeod and YA/Hiplit writer Emily Pohl-Weary.
I'm excited to explore more of the multimedia possibilities of the internet and of content-based blogging.
I'm more excited to have a good excuse to attend as much of the WIWF as is humanly possible...book launches and readings and panel discussions, oh my!
It's called Hot Air. I think you're going to like it.

Nice gig!
Did they give you an all-access pass?
Thanks B! It goes without saying that I'm greatly looking forward to it...
Hey Polly...yup, I'll be getting a festival pass (which is really on the mainstage anyways, as everything else is free...) and an overweening feeling of power sometime next week.
